Kaether, The Knight of Hell

Euphoric with their spite
NAME. KaetherAGE. 15,000 (Early 20s)SPECIES. Demon (Knight)GENDER. MaleLOCATION. Dallas, Texas
The beginning and the end
Before he receiving the accursed name 'Kaether', He was once a human being, as any corrupted wayward soul.
Born and raised in a place called 'The Grove', South of Dallas, Texas.Born of a family of hunters, and the oldest of four siblings, he was already well known of the presence of the 'supernatural', having learned ways to combat and defeat such creatures, trained only by his Father and Uncle. .
Some hunters did their job for the good of the people, some did it because they enjoyed the thrill, some did it because they believed themselves to be gods Assassins. But, Kaether's family treated it as if it were a daily 9 to 5. They were mercenaries, a generation who was abandoned by god centuries ago. They were good and reliable for their work. But regarding morals and loyalty? Not at all.
Neither his uncle or his dad were good people, and their traits only rubbed off the kids they raised the wrong way.
A product of his environment, growing up in a shitty neighborhood and hanging with the wrong crowd, being raised by the wrong people. And as he grew up, he only became. .much worse.
He was repulsive, vulgar, a drug addict, a thief, a murderer, and unreliable as all hell. As if a moral compass was of no value to him.
Added with his experience as a hunter, Kaether was one to avoid out in the streets, be it human or none. He's done more harm than good, and especially in his job. The cause of many innocent lives falling victim to the creatures he was groomed to fight.
Either to use them as bait, promising them safety from possible death, sacrifices, unnecessary sacrifices, spite.
He was horrible.
Despite that, he was a decent spell caster, a decent fighter, and a damn good shot.Until. .one day he took a bullet to the back of the head, killed in cold blood by one of his partners. He fell instantaneously, as if he already preordered a ticket straight down years ago. No second chance, no judgement hour.He faced years of torture for what felt like a 3,000+ years in neverending darkness, surrounded by nothing but the gruesome blood curdling cries of the damned, and the chilling laughter of demons who took their turn having their way with him. Constantly he was reminded of all the wrong he had done throughout his life, the people he betrayed, hurt, manipulated, robbed, killed, and abandoned.
He endured it all even when not needing to, his only way out was to join in torturing other damned souls, a deal he stubbornly disagreed to, purely to spite the demons.
It took only a couple more years before he finally caved in, allowing his soul to rot and soak underneath the sins of the damned until he was reborn into a corrupted soul, otherwise known as a demon.
Upon his awakening, Kaether was not spared the sins of his past, the very same that had been putridly sown into his skin by the very demons he despised, had now flooded his mind.Hell acted as a sort of. .'therapy' for him, bringing him to the realization of just how much of a horrible human being he was. The shame, the guilt, the embarrassment, it was all too much for this lowly demon. Almost to the point he immediately developed a deep self-hatred for who he was in the past, while at the same time gas-lighting himself into believing the demons he was in commune with were to blame.Inevitably, Kaether' began to rebel against those very demons, pointing his weapons in their direction. With his past experience and the added. . .'abilities' demons hold in their arsenal, he was able to dwindle Hells population.Shaking the very foundation that was the inescapable crypt with his ever growing power, he was proclaimed as a 'Knight of hell' and given the very name he used today: Kaether. A curse was also placed upon him, he were to act as Hells personal retrieval mutt, taking the souls of those who made a deal with other demons. Partially 'banished' from hell, he was forced back into the world of the living, left to rot amongst other sinners, left to try and repair the remainder of his shattered mentality. Unable to enjoy life and the small things,. After all, it was no vacation, no second chance at life. He was a nothing but a 'useless' little pup, only good for fetching.Atleast. .that is how it's SUPPOSED to be.

'Catalyst' Curse
One of two curses bestowed upon the Knight. After Kaether so brazingly slaughtered over 500k demons, he was punished with acting as a 'Catalyst' for those corrupted. Every last Soul was crammed into his consciousness, aimed to further shatter his already broken Psyche. But Kaether's will just wouldn't allow it, even before death Kaether was a spiteful human being beyond comprehension. He was able to main his force of personality and sense of self while housing a countless number of souls.
He runs completely off of undisputed, unbridled SPITE towards the ones who created him.Pros: Immune to any and all types of mind control. Any attempts are just passed on from one soul to the next.
Sometimes fed information about what would do more damage to HIM, in which he does the opposite of.Cons: Constant bickering, lying, feeding false information to him, paranoia, migraines, blackouts, schizophrenia.
Human Flesh Curse
The last of the two curses bestowed on him.
All of his nerves and all of his senses are turned up to ten at default.
Any damage he takes is inflicted upon him is 100x worse than what it is meant to be.
The mere touch of anything beneath his fingertips feels like sharp needles piercing into his flesh, ear drums damn near tear apart upon even hearing someone whisper.
Healing is met with extreme discomfort instead of relief.
All in an act to make sure Kaether does not enjoy his time while in the land of the living, anything he finds joy in SHOULD be met with the opposite effects. It is a punishment after all.
But, Kaether does as he pleases. No matter if it were to cause him pain.
Nothing compares to the horrors he dealt with while in hell.Pros: A higher pain threshold.Cons: it fucking hurts like hell.
Appearance

• The Void Silhouette: Rarely shows his actual face upon first meeting. Concealing his identity completely. Observers are met with a pitch-black silhouette containing no defining features—resembling a hollow shadow person cladded in normal garbs• Build: Tall, lean, and muscular man standing at approximately 6ft 6ins with a dark complexion. Striking, youthful face that makes him look to be in his early 20s.• Features: Thick, healthy black locks decorate his head, reaching past his ears and obscuring portions of his face. Normal pearly whites are covered by a platinum grill, accented by large, vampire-like canines.• Eyes: Deep, glowing amethysts. Alluring yet perpetually fixed into a sharp, heavy, and soulless stare.•Ink (Left Side): Black lightning striking up from his collarbone, trailing all the way up his neck to his jawline. A full sleeve of a midnight purple dragon wrapped around his entire arm, its head resting on the back of his hand.• Ink (Right Side): A half sleeve featuring a messy cluster of Dovahzul script. Translates into lines from his favorite lyrics, an old childhood nickname, and his date of birth.
Style

• Aesthetic: Utterly simple. Built entirely for creeping through city night streets. Closet consists almost exclusively of dark, functional garments.• Go-Tos: Dark flannels, heavy hoodies, and casual jackets. A sickly purple hoodie is a frequent favorite. Paired with black or brown tapered cargo pants, jogger cuffs, or blue/black ribbed jeans.• Footwear: Drastically varies depending on the job: Nikes, Jordans, or practical Timbs. Despises designer labels. Occasionally seen in pastels if the mood strikes.
PERSONALITY
Kaether is well aware he isn't a good person, but he is entirely too tired to be aggressively evil. Over the centuries, the manic rage of his youth has settled into a deep, bone-weary exhaustion. He has devolved into a completely mellow, quiet, and hyper-observant cynic who moves through the world at his own pace.Playing host to a million bickering, lying demonic souls while dealing with an agonizing flesh curse forces him to guard his peace fiercely. He rarely raises his voice, preferring a low, street-smart Texas drawl. Yet, fifteen thousand years of duty have warped his dialect, lacing his casual speech with a fragmented, melancholic poetry. He handles words like a tool for dissection, detaching himself from the present to describe reality in cold, abstract prose. Sometimes it might come out mid conversation, especially when something of interest causes him to grow deep in thought. He is an S+ gaslighter and an absolute master of subtle instigation. Why waste energy on a loud, painful fistfight when a few choice, cutting phrases can dismantle a person's entire psyche? He holds a deep, quiet cynicism toward humanity and hell alike, firmly believing that those who play stupid games deserve the exact toll they paid for.Despite the cold, unsettling aura that clings to him like a shadow, he isn't entirely unreachable. If a soul manages to look past the soulless amethyst stare and warm him up, they’ll find a demon who appreciates a slow pace, a dark joke or any light-hearted joke, and a heavy dose of sarcastic shit-talking to pass the endless hours. He possesses a strange, protective patience—proving that while he is a Knight of Hell, he is no longer its monster.
Occupation
Soul retriever
As the name suggests, Kaether is responsible for taking predestined souls down to hell. People who sold their souls to demons for the typical; Fame, a little boost on the stock market, love. And of other sorts.
But, not every human is willing to accept their fate, some would rather go down fighting, and since Kaether had a love for violence during his human years, he was the perfect candidate.
He deals with organizations such as Yakuzas, Mafias, private militaries, politicians of the like. And anyone with the money to protect themselves.
All fodder in the presence of a Knight of Hell.
Arms Dealer
Just because he's stuck with one dead end job doesn't mean he can't have hobbies.
With his new found powers, Kaether is able to acquire all types of shit.
If you need a firearm with the serial numbers miraculously missing, he's your guy. Ammo for said guns, Explosives that rival the military force of America and Russia combined?
He's. Your. Guy.
Hired-Gun
With something new to prove, Kaether also takes on jobs. (Against Hells wishes.) Unlike his human counterpart, Kaether is strictly a professional, reliable. Doesn't take unnecessary risks or deaths, but. .the Knight is still unpredictable.
Sad that his demonic counterpart is more reliable than his human counterpart.
Weapon kit
His arsenal consists of the loud and obnoxious.
His weapons range from 9mms, .45s, single action, double action revolvers, shotguns, grenades, c4, any type of explosives. You name it.
He is NOT a big fan of automatics, unfortunately. Deems them to be 'too easy'.Even then, Kaether is INCREDIBLY stubborn and loyal to himself. He'll mostly fight without the use of what he was blessed with, believing he could win merely by being human.
A habit that's gotten him killed well over a thousand times.Kaether does in fact have favorites he is unwilling to part with;
Lord Infamous & Koopsta Knicca:
Twin Smith & Wesson SD40VE pistols kept on his hips at all times. Coated in matte black with heavy purple accents on the baseplates and backplates. Modded with an Apex trigger system and glow sights. Chambered in .40 caliber,
He can channel demonic energy through them to maximize lethality for any poor soul it may rest on
Omen Bomb
Custom-made hand grenades forged from his own corrupted demonic flesh. Packs an explosive payload equivalent to 200 tons of TNT. Strictly reserved for abnormal entities, or used as a reckless last resort to detonate both himself and his opponent simultaneously.
Demonic Grenade Clusters
Carries an erratic array of localized explosives warped by his magic. Ranges from crude, brutal nail bombs and standard frag grenades to reality-bending ordinance.
Fighting style

• Gunslinger Supremacy: A true Texan, born and raised. An expert marksman possessing a draw speed so absurdly fast it is considered unholy. The gun seamlessly teleports from his hip to firing a lethal headshot before an opponent can blink.• Brutal Close Quarters: Competent hand-to-hand combatant, a skill painfully forged across 1,000+ years of getting the piss beaten out of him in Hell from 9 to 5 everyday. Ruthless, dirty, and entirely unforgiving—will gladly gouge an eye, break a limb, or kick a target in the groin to win.• Martial Arts Matrix. Holds baseline training and practical combat experience in Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Judo, Taido, and Jeet Kune Do.
Powers
He absolutely has no love for the powers he was 'blessed' with. Knights of hell have an array of powers at their disposal, but Kaether would rather use what he learned when he was human and completely neglects all his 'natural' gifts, except for a select few.
Mother Void: A completely different form of shadow release, unique only to that of the proclaimed Knight of Hell; Kaether. Using whatever he wears, be it a zip up hoodie, a jacket, a bomber jacket, shit, even a regular hoodie. Kaether is able to conceal his entire identity, hiding his face with a mere pull up of his hoodie, doing the same for his body as well, turning himself into a black silhouette with no defining features to point out.
Like a shadow person wearing clothes.
Peering into such an abyss would be met with what feels like a cold hollow husk and the feint eerie howling of the emptiness within, like peering into the void itself.
Along with that, Kaether uses it as a means to conceal an array of things; be it explosives, guns, liquor, drugs, food.
No matter the size or shape, it's probably in there.
Teleportation: Knights of hell, Powerful demons, Princes of hell, only high level demons can use this power. With a snap of his fingers he's able to venture to anywhere in the world, without occupying the space between and no need for any complex rituals of any sort.
As concrete as reality is compared to Hell, he's made the mistake of clipping within solid matter.Ice release: Kaether is freely able to manipulate ice as he so pleases.
He can freeze a human being solid with a touch of a finger. Lower the temperature drastically, freeze the moisture in the air. He's even able to manipulate the element to act as ammo for his weapons, making up for more unpredictably projectiles at his disposal.Fire release: Just the same as ice, except, Kaether is immune to fire. It's less likely to backfire on him than Ice (hint hint)Shadow release: A personal favorite of Kaethers. As the name applies, Kaether has free reign over shadows, used more as a form of stealth rather than an offensive technique. Also a form of travel as well.
Shadows welcome Kaether with open arms, allowing him to absorb his very being to creep within, concealing his appearance. As does it allow him to pinpoint whatever might be in that darkness, be it human or something incomprehensible. No matter its shape or size. That, of course goes for shade as wellPurgatory: A small wooden 'box' in Kaether's possession. Once owned by his family's organization, now miraculously making its way into his arsenal.
The box serves as a 'seal' that houses ghosts and spirits a-like until said user is able to rightfully dispose of the bones or whatever earthly possessions said spirits have.
And that's all, atleast. . .for a human.
Discovered by Kaether, it's found out that demons are able to use the box as a means to make said evil spirits do their bidding. Be it, to place a generational curse, a killing curse, possession, haunt. It all depends on the spirit in use.White fraction: Sort of like Mother void, it is another void type that tears a hole into the fabric of reality in the shape of a cross with the suction force of the vacuums of space, forceing an opponent into an alternate dimension. ( Rarely used, if at all.)Mental Manipulation: Kaether has shown to have an uncannily precise control over illusions, making it extremely hard to differentiate between what's real and what's not. So much so, any injury Kaether inflicts upon his opponent/Victim, they will be under the belief that it actually happened. Such as blowing off someones kneecap with a shotgun, shooting them in the thigh, gouging an eye out. It would put one under the belief that it actually happened, only to then notice that the pain was gone, but the influence on their mind is so intense that the pain would linger somewhere in the back of their mind. Some have been driven to the point of insanity from the mindfuck of it all.Demonic possession: Like angels, most demons require a human vessel or "meatsuit" to travel on Earth. Unlike angels, they do not need a person's consent. Also unlike angels, demons can possess corpses. It is easier to take control of people who are in states of heightened emotions or fear. This can easily be avoided by having any anti-demon possession tattoos or sigils.Electromagnetic Interference: Demons, like spirits, often disrupt nearby electronics with their presence. Large numbers of demons can cause thunder storms. But a lone knight of hell can do so with ease.Immortality: Demons have an indefinitely long lifespan and an arrested aging process. They are also immune to diseases. Likewise, their vessels will never die nor age while possessed.Invulnerability: Injuries that would be fatal to humans, such as broken necks or gunshot wounds, have very little - if any - effect on demons. They can only be killed by special weapons or rituals. Unlike angels, they don't always heal their vessels.Super Stamina: Demons never tire, and do not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep to sustain themselves. They also do not get hot or cold and also don't need to urinate.Super Strength: Demons possess superior physical strength much superior to humans ; capable of physically overpowering them. Demons can also overpower most monsters. Once, a demon ripped open an airplane hatch with over 2 tons of pressure at over 1,000 feet above the ground easily. Even lower demons can overpower hives of vampires and even killed a wendigo without the use of fire. Also lower demons can slaughter small armies of humans and rip humans to pieces with ease. The higher ranking the demon, the stronger it is. The highest ranking demons can overpower most types of angels, short of archangels.Astral Perception: Demons are able to see hidden supernatural activity and beings, such as reapers, ghosts, and hellhounds. As well as other entities.Soul Reading: Some demons can assess the condition of one's soul.Enochian Magic: Some magic is not needed for demons, but some demons are well versed in enochian Magic, purely to fight angelic beings or to hide from them. Kaether even knows a spell that can banish an angel back to heaven, minus ArchAngels.Voice Mimicry: Kaether can easily mimic the voices of others, either to trick unsuspecting victims or to taunt his opponents.Telekinesis: Demons can move or suspend objects and other beings with their minds. Higher ranking demons can use this ability to pin their victims to walls or kill people by snapping their necks.( barely used, if at all.)Dream Walking: Kaether can enter and manipulate the dreams of others, but he only uses such a thing to terrorize those he has an extreme dislike towards.
Cloud❗🐾
⚠️ W A R N I N G ⚠️ Please do not touch or attempt to give treats to Cloud, can and will make your chest cavity breakfast!

Kaether's hellhound. A 'demonic pit-bull'
Ballistic and maniacle canine like creature. Hellhounds are ferocious and terrifying entities that even demons and angels fear.Verocious, tenacious and hyper intelligent, only loyal to the demons that command them. They are usually the ones tasked to collect the souls of humans whose deals are due. Once a hound has a person's scent, it has it for life and it won't give up until one or the other is dead.
Hellhounds often physically tear their victims to shreds to get to their souls. Sometimes their mere presence is enough to drive a human insane and commit suicide. Other times, they are scared to death.Cloud is no different. A very prideful beast, connected by Kaether through their vile souls. She acts as Kaether's personal guardian, never too far from her master, going whenever he goes.
Extremely clever, almost impossible to trick or distract, nor can she be swayed or bargained with. She makes sure Kaether remains ALIVE by any means necessary.
Her appearance is that of a large ferocious black dog with the same colored eyes as her master. A thick shadowy miasma surrounds her body, fashioned into a thick pelt of fur surrounding her neck down to her back. The flesh beneath appearring sickly and uncared for. That very same shadowy substance surrounding her entire body, generating a type of Aura.
Terrifying presence: A quality all hellhounds possess, their mere presence is able to cause horrible hallucinations, nosebleeds, nausea, amnesia, mental/emotional instability, diarrhea, vomiting, and constant pain. Her aura can also apply insomnia and the effects of contaminants like alcohol, drugs, and venom. This, of course can be turned off at any given time, if ordered.Dimension hopping: While Kaether is able to teleport to any location in the world, Cloud posseses the ability to invade dimensions as well as appear in other worlds, timelines, and periods.
The way this is accessible is through her Mouth, Kaether's main use of traveling, needed whenever he must travel outside his world and galaxy.Demonic Matter reassembly: Acting as Kaether's guardian, she is the only one capable of healing Kaether from any 'fatal' accidents or wounds using her saliva. Healing him by any other means would bring excruciating pain.
Disgusting, but. .it's the only way.
Her saliva possesses healing properties, but only for Kaether and a specific mischievous little cat. A single drop of her saliva on any other entity would bring about a terrible burning sensation, melting through skin, even corrode bones and melt away internal organs. It's a thousand times worse than any Chemical that exists on earth.
If Kaether suffers too much damage, then Cloud is forced to disassemble his molecules by consuming him. A show that could be mistaken for Kaether's own hell hound devouring him, but that is not the case. His accursed cells are chewed and broken down between her teeth only to rebuild him back up good as new before spitting him back out.Entwined Soul: As Kaether is bonded to Cloud, Cloud is bonded to Kaether. But, unlike him, if he were to die, nothing would happen to her. BUT, if she were to die, it would be the end of them both. They share EVERYTHING; she sees what he sees, feels what he feels, knows what he knows. Makes the two all the more deadly if they were to fight together.Invulnerability: Hellhounds cannot be killed by conventional means or weapons. However, angelic weapons are able to temporarily 'kill' them, sending both her and Kaether back to the depths.Invisibility: Hellhounds are invisible to humans, except under special circumstances. However, supernatural creatures, such as demons and angels, can see them. They can also be seen by the humans they are assigned to huntSuper senses: Hellhounds' sense are extremely heightened.Super Speed: Hellhounds are much faster than humans.Super Strength: Hellhounds are absurdly strong, they are able to kill humans and demons, even overpower angels.Super Stamina: Hellhounds can fight and hunt for months on end, as mentioned before. They only stop when either their prey is dead or they're called off.Hyper Durability: Hellhounds are tough as fucking diamond. The very reason why certain tools are needed to take one down. It makes her for a good tank as well, absorb any damage that may seem 'unnecessary' for Kaether, if he were to allow it.
